The Project

As a measure of backward integration of our existing trading business in steel products and to meet the ever increasing demand for Mild Steel (MS) billets in the market, JR Steel has decided to set up an Induction Furnace based Steel Melting Shop subsequent to an intensive market research. The billets will be marketed to the rolling mills for the manufacture of Thermo Mechanically Treated (TMT) Reinforcement Bars and structural steel. This project will complement our trading business in steel and is in compliance with the group’s growth and diversification strategies. The salient features of the project are listed in the following table.

(iv) One No. Rolling Mill
